Longmont election featured in Boulder Weekly

A big thanks goes out to Pamela White of the Boulder Weekly for the interview we had and the subsequent story, which you can read here.

The election situation has gotten the attention of not just the Boulder Weekly, but also the Denver Post at this link.  It looks like the DP probably got the idea from the BW, although they didn’t execute nearly as well.  Personally I think the LifeBridge angle was played up a little too much, the animosity against Karen Benker goes way beyond that issue.

I was happy to also see some wording changes on the online edition (too late for the printed) that made it appear that this blog was full of profanity, which it clearly isn’t.  My favorite quote, which ironically was by me was: “I’ve got real issues with the committee, because I personally don’t think they’re so unbiased,” Rodriguez says. “I do think they have an ax to grind, and I do think they have an agenda. People are people. I don’t care if they’re conservatives or not… They’re not an elected body. They’re not an official body. They’re nothing really.”  This was in response to a question about the Longmont Civil Campaign Committee’s make-up.  Of course since then a couple members have seen the sham of what this committee was and have bailed on it.

Pick up your copy of this weeks Boulder Weekly before they run out.
