Longmont’s Liberal/Progressive Thugocracy

The following was sent to the Times-Call for publication, they refused to run it for reasons unknown at the time of this posting. I ran the subject matter by a few random people, all were outraged and asked why they hadn’t heard about it. I wasn’t going to write about it as it’s old news to me, but apparently unknown by most. I assume the Times-Call isn’t running it because of the subject matter, but they’ve been running some pretty screwy Open Forum letters lately, so that can’t totally be it. Taxes are the first resort for Deb Gardner, Matt Jones

(The following appeared in the October 17, 2010 Longmont Times-Call under the title “Two state House candidates clear on tax-and-spend priorities)
I’m sure the “tax and spend” label put on Democrats is one they are tired of hearing, so I’ll amend it slightly:  “spend, a lot, then in the name of a fiscal emergency tax, a lot”.  Not that Republicans get off scot-free here, they spent too much as well and they were dealt with accordingly.  In other words, they were acting just like Democrats, and the voters showed their displeasure.   Continue reading…

Don’t extend Pommer & Obama failures with Deb Gardner

Boulder, and Longmont has experienced enough failure at the hands of outgoing and term-limited House Representative Jack Pommer and the Democratic Party agenda.  One of the party’s biggest boosters, Boulder County Democratic Party Chair Deb Gardner, wants to fill Mr. Pommer’s seat in State House District 11.  To do this would be more of the same failure this state and country has experienced in the last two years under almost complete Democrat rule.
